Core Gateway
Core Gateway is the first step of the New Deal Programme. It is for people aged 18+. It aims to assist unemployed people prepare for a New Deal option.
Core Gateway is designed to:
• Identify special needs/essential skills
• Choose and benefit from a New Deal opportunity
• Increase prospects of gaining employment
It consists of a two week course covering a wide range of activities which include:
• Self Assessment
• Interview Techniques
• C.V. Preparation
• Letter Writing
• Application Forms
• Personal Development
• Introduction to Computers
• Essential Skills
• Effective Jobsearch
