President of Ireland, Mary McAleese visited a People 1st Training for Success class in South Belfast today where the students were learning about employability. The class was being conducted in Lower Ormeau Residents Association (LORAG) premises, where the vist took place.
President McAleese was very interested in the class and re-enforced with the students the importance of employment for their futures. The Tutor of the class, Barbara Carson challenged students while the President was there to answer questions about the benefits of being economically active to which the group responded knowledgably.
The class were delighted that the President had called in to visit them and were inspired by her to work hard and are now more determined to secure employment as soon as possible.
